Joe Autem (Managing Partner):
Mr. Autem is a Texas CPA with twenty-five years experience as CFO, investor, and advisor to a number of well known technology companies. Joe was the early CFO of Broadcast.com, an Internet and electronic commerce company that sold to Yahoo for $5.7 billion. Joe was a member of the original management team and served on the board of directors until Broadcast.com, Inc. merged with Yahoo! in July 1999. He was also CFO of Luminant, a $100 million rollup that rapidly accelerated to IPO. In addition, Joe served as CFO of CS Wireless, a wireless video and high-speed Internet access company, MetroComm, a facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier, and OpenConnect Systems, a software company. Prior to these roles, Joe was the CFO of Natural Gas Partners, an investment partnership with over $100 million in committed capital. Mr. Autem was also previously with Arthur Andersen. Mr. Autem is currently a board member of Viewcast, a public communications company.

Tim Levey (Managing Partner):
Mr. Levey has been CFO, fractional CFO, director and advisor of numerous emerging technology, communications and services companies, including iTKO (sold to CA for $330m), True Automation (successful exit to public company), Menara Networks, Common Knowledge, Mindflow, Coreintellect, and others. He has significant experience working with companies in strategic planning, transaction assistance, process improvement, attracting venture capital, and metric analysis and reporting. Tim co-founded ComVest Partners, an institutional technology focused investment bank, and was Sr. sell side analyst of William K. Woodruff and Co. In these roles, Tim was involved in public and private securities offerings, and wrote extensively on technologies, companies, and industries. Mr. Levey has also written and analyzed numerous business plans and has successfully helped companies to raise millions of dollars. Tim holds an MBA from UT Arlington, and is a deacon and treasurer for his church.

David Mellinger (Partner):

Mr. Mellinger is a Texas CPA with over thirty years experience as a financial executive and CFO of technology and marketing services companies.      David was most recently the CFO and EVP of Corporate Development for e-Rewards, the world’s largest online market research panel company, where he led the company’s profitable growth at a compounded annual growth rate of 70% over the 9+ years he was there. During this time, he was responsible for multiple debt financings, equity raises and acquisitions. David was also CFO of Brierley + Partners, a technology based loyalty marketing services company; two technology subsidiaries of Rapp Collins Worldwide, the direct marketing subsidiary of Omnicom (OMC); and INTRICO, a software development and marketing partnership between American Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Marriott Hotels and Budget Rent a Car.  Mr. Mellinger has also held executive positions at Perot Systems, Centex General Construction Companies and Pinnacle Brands, a baseball trading card manufacturer.  David started his career with Arthur Andersen where he was an audit manager and worked for 2 years at its world headquarters on computer audit techniques. While at Arthur Andersen, he served clients in the real estate, construction, broker/dealer, non-profit, and consumer products industries.


Jules Ellis (Senior Associate)  
Jules Ellis brings over 16 years of experience in financial management and has worked with many venture capital funded and high-tech companies such as Menara Networks, Mizuni, Keste, Mavenir Systems, Sipera Systems, and  Ceterus Networks.  Her areas of expertise include financial operations, debt and equity transactions and reporting requirements.  Most recently, Mrs. Ellis held the position of Vice President – Finance & Administration for SensorLogic, a SaaS-based company providing M2M solutions for asset tracking and monitoring. Jules also served as Controller for Sevis Systems and Tellicent Inc.  Jules is a Texas CPA and received her BS in Business Administration and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.  Jules serves on the Board of Directors of Sci-Tech Discovery Center.

Mike Park (Managing Director):
Mike Park brings a 20+ year successful career in financial services and business development.  Prior to joining CFO Partners, Mike worked in Amegy Bank’s commercial banking group as a Senior Vice President serving clients across a variety of industries and ranging from start-ups to middle market companies. Park also served as a Business Development Manager for Deloitte LLP's Growth Company Services group, supporting Deloitte’s offices in Dallas, Austin, Houston and Denver.  Mike’s banking career includes managing the Dallas office of Comerica Bank's Technology and Life Sciences Division, serving as lending officer in the Comerica’s Middle Market Lending group, and as credit administration officer in the bank’s Commercial Real Estate group.  Mike graduated from Southern Methodist University and began his career in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen & Co LLP.

Jennifer Baker (Managing Director – Austin):
Mrs. Baker is the Managing Director for the Austin office of CFO Partners. Prior to joining CFO Partners, Jennifer was the Business Development Manager for vcfo, an accounting services firm based in Austin, and played an integral role in launching their Dallas office. Jennifer also held positions as Controller or fractional Controller for multiple companies (mostly in the technology space) including Menara Networks, Lingualcare, Transat Technologies, Credant, Intellimedia, Spinal Concepts, Digital Motorworks and Polycom. Prior to vcfo, Jennifer held position as Financial Manager for an Austin based start-up company, AGEA Corporation. Before AGEA, Jennifer served as Financial Analyst for Tivoli Systems. And prior to Tivoli, Jennifer held an accounting position at 3M where she was recognized for her system implementation efforts. She also has experience starting small companies in both the construction and real estate industries, and has advised other early stage small businesses. Jennifer holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Bill Bock (Advisor):
Mr. Bock is an advisor to CFO Partners. He is currently Chief Financial Officer of Silicon Laboratories, a public industry leader in high-performance, analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits. He joined Silicon Labs in November 2006 after almost seven years as a member of the Silicon Laboratories’ Board of Directors. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Bock was a partner at venture capital firms CenterPoint Ventures and Verity Ventures. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Bock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of DAZEL Corporation, a provider of electronic information delivery systems. After DAZEL’s acquisition by Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Bock then served as Vice President for HP until 2001. Mr. Bock has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tivoli Systems, which he helped take public in 1995 and was later acquired by IBM. Prior to joining Tivoli, Mr. Bock successfully completed an IPO at Convex Computer Corporation as CFO in 1986 and then became the Senior Vice President of Sales in 1991. Prior to Convex, Mr. Bock spent nine years in various finance roles at Texas Instruments including the Vice President and Controller of the Data Systems Group. Mr. Bock holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Iowa State University and a M.S. degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
